Prophecy/Hope Candle

Galatians 4:4-8 But when the right time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent Him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law so that He could adopt us as His very own children. And because we are His children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are His child, God has made you His heir.
On this first Sunday of Advent, as we prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus’ arrival as a gift to all humanity; let’s stir up in our hearts and homes a sense of anticipation. Over this Advent, we pray that hope would rise up in our spirits.

Invocation:
O God, who makes us glad with the yearly remembrance of the birth of Your only Son Jesus Christ. We joyfully receive Him for our Redeemer. We, with sure confidence in Him, await for the day He comes to be our Judge. Blessed be Christ who lives and reigns with God and the Holy Ghost, one God, worth without end. Amen.
