EAT for a CAUSE

Its a very exciting day at FWC. The group is hard at work getting ready for a new adventure and we hope you will join us. Ellen White is in charge of our donation program. She is always in touch with groups in the community and coming back to the church with lists of needs from those groups helping in our community. Before we all hunker down for the winter we figured we are due for a good cook out. Not just any cook out, but one that brings us together. Lets celebrate God’s blessings on us by following his example and helping those in need in our community. So here is the deal, the planned meal is Chicken, corn on the cob, coleslaw, and a roll. The only cost to you is a donated item. Roll up, drop off and pick up a meal. If the weather is nice we will set up tables for those that want to get out and eat. This is going to be the kick off to what we are calling  EAT for a CAUSE.

For this cook out the donations are going to Carpenter’s Place here in Rockford. If you don’t know much about CP I encourage you to head over to https://www.carpentersplace.org and check them out. They are not only helping with the daily needs of the people in our community but helping them to make a better and more stable future with employment training and housing programs. You can donate cash and Ellen will make sure the needs are met or you can bring an item off the Urgent Needs list we have provided.

Do us a favor and head over to our events page and fill out the RSVP form just to let us get a rough head count for meals. EAT for a CAUSE
