Welcome to EAT for a CAUSE. Here at Faith Wesleyan, we recognize that there are already people in our community doing God’s work to help those in our community. Our goal is to come up beside these groups and offer our support. EAT for a CAUSE is meant to help bring us together as a community as we help those in our community that is struggling. Let’s come together and have a meal. This meal only costs a donation on your part. We will be setting up a simple cookout in our parking lot with a meal of chicken, corn. coleslaw, and a roll. Drive-up drop off your donated item and pick up a meal or if you feel comfortable get out pull up a chair and get to know each other a little bit better. This is a Rain or Shine event.

Our cause for this cookout is Carpenters Place in Rockford. If you are not familiar with CP you can visit their website at  https://www.carpentersplace.org/. They have many needs during this Covid season going into the fall months. This is a great way to get a large donation to people in need..

In Matthew 25:35-40

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
